We had 1200 square feet of carpet purchased from empire. The main installer spoke only Spanish. His assistant was his son, just learning. He did a horrible job on the stairs and put the seam in the living room write in the walk way. We heard a loud noise upstairs during the installation and the dad swore at the son in Spanish. We did not know until later that the noise was a dropped carpet knife. They had torn cut the arm of my new couch. I didn't discover this until a after they left because when they replaced the furniture, they completely move it where the torn arm was against the wall. My husband came home from work and saw the seam and was very unhappy.

We called the managers. It took a week of calling to get a call back. Very poor customer service! You can't get a local person. A supervisor came out and I think the only reason he agreed to redo the living room was because of the tare in the couch. Because we didn't actually see them tare it, my husband didn't demand that it be fixed because he felt there may be pay back from the guy. We were very disappointed that they sent the same guy out to fix the stair and living room. The stair still looks terrible and I just gave up.Lousy service and installers! The padding was lumpy in a couple of places too but my husband said to forget it since it was not in a high traffic area.Houston,tx
